Sentry Insurance aligned its new corporate brand, reminiscent of the yin-yang symbol, with the design of the company’s new seven-story, 270,000-square-foot office building in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The resulting structure reflects the new logo’s pair of interlocked lines through north and south wings linked by a central, six-story atrium and with an interior that integrates a gradient blue color scheme.
Flooring appearance was guided by architectural shapes and the blue color palette of Sentry’s new brand while performance requirements dictated high-quality materials and expert installation. The build-out schedule over January and February introduced cold-weather installation challenges within a tight timeframe.
The carpet selection, Milliken TractionBack®, requires a 100% dust-free surface. Sweeping compound could not be used because the TractionBack product cannot be installed on top of any oil or silicone residue. This meant installers had to use valuable installation time to sweep and mop until the surface could be verified dust-free.
With expert flooring product selection, diligence to detail, and installation craftsmanship, the flooring project was completed on time and Sentry Insurance launched the grand opening to great acclaim from all.
